BlogLocal Putting Local Blogging on the MapIf you’ve been following OnlyinPgh for a while, you know we love 3 things in particular: supporting local businesses and organizations, putting things on maps and awesome people doing awesome things in Pittsburgh. With those in mind, we’d like to introduce you to a company that also shares those interests: BlogLocal.

Started by Lindsay Patross, founder of the iconic Pittsburgh blog I Heart PGH, the goal of BlogLocal is to make it even easier to find and connect to local blogs in your city, town or neighborhood. The motivation behind it is simple–local blogging is often a labor of love, and nothing helps motivate blogging than connecting with more readers and other bloggers. From BlogLocal:

We love local blogs and the people who put so much gusto and dedication into writing them—that we decided to create a community for these bloggers and local lovers. Whether it be learning about the other female political bloggers in your hometown, or reading about uniquely local events, traditions, and places on our blog–we hope you will continue to visit BlogLocal and join the conversation.

With well over 100 local blogs listed across almost every state, BlogLocal is quickly becoming the go-to source or local blogging information. Check it out and see what you find. There’s an extensive list of Pittsburgh Blogs as well as blogs from around the region. And if you’re a blogger yourself, don’t forget to submit yours to the list!
