Eyeflow’s goal is to invent a whole new approach to internet marketing. Most companies re-sell the same old, tired solutions while confusing the client with techno jargon that keeps them in a fog of confusion. Eyeflow’s goal is to educate clients on the basics of search engine optimization by using straightforward, easy to understand analogies.
Search engines are becoming more like people and less like robots. The problem most internet marketing companies have is they try to constantly “trick” the robot and they end up finding out just how smart the search engines actually are. This is why we don’t use un-ethical tactics or anything that remotely resembles a short cut. At the end of the day, if you follow the basic principles of SEO you will not only be successful online, but you’ll have long-lasting results.
Why is that important to you?
The reason educating a client is so important to me is because an educated client is an asset. There is nothing more valuable to me then a client who is committed to listening to what we have to say and honestly trying to absorb that information and, in turn, give feedback. We can NEVER know as much as a client does about their industry and client input is crucial for a successful campaign.
Why Pittsburgh?
When people see what we are doing in the industry the first thing they say is, “Why the hell are you guys in Pittsburgh? Shouldn’t you be in San Francisco or New York?” But what they don’t realize is Pittsburgh is actually the PERFECT place for tech start ups – and here’s why:
1. Higher Education – We have some of the best and brightest young minds coming out of some great universities like Carnegie Mellon University, The University of Pittsburgh, Duquesne, etc. These kids are hungry and smart and I am constantly amazed at the talent pool we have in right here in our backyard.
2. Technology – Pittsburgh is often over looked at as a technology hub by the general populous, but just look at all the major players we have here like UPMC, PNC, Google, Bayer, etc. Pittsburgh has traveled a long and rocky road toward shedding our industrial past and evolving into a 21st century economy, but the truth is Pittsburgh does a huge amount of work in the health and financial industries. I really believe that the coming years will see a big tech startup boom thanks to organizations like the Pittsburgh Technology Council, Innovation Works, and Alpha Labs.
3. Young CEOs Unite – Being a young CEO in the internet marketing field, I am constantly being approached by other young CEOs and have cultivated an amazing inner circle of support.
Audrey Russo, CEO of the Pittsburgh Technology Council, is the unofficial ring leader of this motley crew and is always hosting social events and bringing people and companies together. Though these gatherings, tech companies big and small are teaming up on all kinds of joint ventures and the results are unique hybrid companies that are doing things never seen before.

- Show Clix – Full-service ticketing company that provides event organizers, promoters and venue managers with innovative solutions that allow them to sell tickets online.
- Bossa Nova Robotics – Adapts laboratory-grade technologies to innovative and entertaining consumer products (children’s toys).

The thing I tell all my employees is if you want to succeed you will never get there without hard work and dedication. I constantly hear people talk about how someone is “lucky” and that always gets under my skin – they usually don’t realize how many times someone has fallen flat on their face in order to get to that point where they achieve success.
