This house is between Mt. Washington and the South Side. To get to it, you have to go through a maze of streets on Mt. Washington and it’s about halfway down the hill. I’m not being very specific, I know, but it’s really hard to explain. When you’re going across the Liberty Bridge towards the tunnel, look at Mt. Washington – it’s mid-hill off to the right.
I had seen it a million times and one time I was driving around exploring that area and there it was. Cola Street, maybe? Not sure.
I am 99% positive its Cola Street! It is a TERRIBLE street to maneuver, but I am sure it is worth it for the view & for all of the envy it causes in all of the people viewing it from the Blvd, Liberty Bridge, McCardle… there arent very many places you can’t see that house on this side of town lol
The rumor about the Real-World house is pretty common. It’s thought that MTV built/renovated the house and put a bunch of money into it. Then they decided not to shoot in Pittsburgh and went to a different city for that season.

What you see on the front page of OnlyinPgh is what we call the Pittsburgh Happenings System—a resource for showcasing the unique places, sights and local flavor our city has to offer. It’s a system that aggregates information from all over the web to bring you a comprehensive view of what’s happening in Pittsburgh. We hope you like it!

I’ve heard that it’s a private residence of a doctor. I read that on a Flickr photo comment, if I remember correctly.

It’s a private residence. I have friends who live right behind it (you can see the roof of their house).
